I can look deeply at a text.
I showed that I can look deeply at a text when I annotated the Romeo and Juliet script. To the left is an image of the first page of the script. If I was confused on a part I would look it up and make a note telling me what it means or is saying for future reference.
"From ancient grudge break to new mutiny, where civil blood makes civil blood unclean." I had a few questions for this line. I didn't understand what Shakespeare meant by "where civil blood makes civil blood unclean" I had a feeling this whole line was talking about the hatred the Capulets and the Montagues had for each other. This is how I figured out what it meant.
I already knew that Romeo and Juliets families hated each other but went against their parents and fell in love and married each other. So the first part of the line was covered.
Civil Blood: Blood of citizens
Once I figured this out, the rest fell into place.
"Where civil blood makes civil blood unclean."
"It stains the hands of citizens with the blood of their fellow citizens."

My weakness:

My strengths:
- I grasped the Shakespearean text very quickly and It helped me with things like tests, annotations, and class readings and performances.
My weakness:
- I didn't really have a weakness but I struggled a lot with not having enough annotations on a page. Since I have watched almost every Romeo and Juliet movie, I knew exactly what was going to happen and almost what everything they were saying meant. (except for a few realy confusing lines)
